Earning from your QuickAgents

Publisher Earnings pays the publisher of a public QuickAgent when other people run it in Agentry. The publisher is the account that owns the QuickAgent's namespace: you, for a QuickAgent under your own handle, or an organization, for one of its QuickAgents. Earnings are paid as earned credits, which you spend like any other credits. They have no cash value and are never exchanged for money.

Where the registry has Publisher Earnings open, your dashboard's Publisher section has an Earnings part (Settings › Profile links to it), and your dashboard has an Earnings card once you have joined or have a public QuickAgent.

What earns

Once you have joined, each hosted run or hosted session of one of your public QuickAgents earns you 25% of the credits its payer is charged for it:

  • an autonomous hosted run: 25% of the credits the run settles at;
  • a hosted session: 25% of its paid minutes and of its tokens.

Only some runs earn:

  • The payer must be on Pro, Promo Pro, Business or Enterprise. Runs paid from Standard earn nothing.
  • Your own runs earn nothing.
  • For an organization's QuickAgent, runs by its members, or paid from its pool, earn nothing.
  • Runs paid from the pool of an organization you belong to earn you nothing, even when a colleague runs your QuickAgent.
  • A payer whose use is not metered earns its publisher nothing.
  • Private QuickAgents earn nothing, and nor do runs on someone's own computer, which spend no credits.
  • A fork of your QuickAgent is private, but its hosted runs earn you your share, under these same rules. A fork in your own namespace, or in the namespace of an organization you belong to, earns you nothing, whoever runs it: it is your own private copy.
  • Submissions, AI Review and Agentry's built-in agents (the Drafter, the Knowledge Creator and the Voice Writer) earn nothing.

The person who runs your QuickAgent pays exactly what they would pay otherwise. Your share comes out of Agentry's side of the charge. The QuickAgent's page and its run setup tell them, in one line, that its publisher earns a share of the credits runs of it spend.

Earnings are counted in hundredths of a credit, so a run that costs 1 credit earns you a quarter of one.

Joining

You join once, in Publisher › Earnings, by ticking the box that accepts the earnings terms (the Publisher Earnings section of the Terms of Service) and pressing Join Publisher Earnings. To join, the account needs:

  • a confirmed email address;
  • two-factor authentication turned on;
  • good standing: not suspended, and owing nothing for a credit pack.

If something is missing, the part says which, in place of the button. Earnings start when you join: nothing from before is paid.

You can leave at any time with Leave Publisher Earnings. Nothing earns from then on, and what you earned before is still paid.

Once you have joined, the part shows what you have earned, when it is paid, your last payout and the QuickAgents that earned most. What hosted runs of a QuickAgent's forks earned is counted in that QuickAgent's credits, and a line under its name says how much came from runs of forks. It never says who forked it, or what the forks are called.

For an organization

An organization's QuickAgents earn for the organization, paid into its pool. One of its administrators joins for it in the organization console, under Organization › Publisher Earnings, by accepting the earnings terms on the organization's behalf. The administrator needs a confirmed email address and two-factor authentication, and the organization needs a paid, active subscription and must not be suspended. Agentry's own organizations and unmetered organizations do not earn. The part shows what the organization has earned, when it is paid, its last payout and the QuickAgents that earned most. A payout appears in the pool's ledger entries as earnings_payout. Members who are not administrators do not see the part, and runs by the organization's own members, or paid from its pool, earn it nothing. Hosted runs of forks of its QuickAgents earn it its share, except forks in its own namespace or in a member's.

When you are paid

Earnings are counted for each half of the month, in UTC:

Half-month Paid on
the 1st to the 15th the 23rd of the same month
the 16th to the end the 8th of the next month

The Publisher Earnings part shows what this half-month has earned so far, what is earned and not yet paid with the day it will be paid, and your last payout. The dates are UTC days: a payment made at the start of the 23rd in UTC lands on the evening of the 22nd in the Americas.

A payout pays the whole credits and carries the fraction to the next one, so nothing is lost to rounding. There is no minimum.

Your earnings wait, and are paid at the first payout after the account is back in good standing, while:

  • the account is suspended, or owes credits for a pack;
  • an organization's subscription is not in force;
  • Agentry staff are holding them.

Earned credits

Earned credits are added to your balance (or to an organization's pool) and are spent like the rest of it:

  • They never expire: a monthly reset, a move down to Standard and the end of a promo trial all leave them in place.
  • They are spent after your monthly or promo credits and before credits you bought.
  • They move into an organization's pool with you when you join a paid one.
  • A credit pack's refund never takes them.
  • They are lost when the account is closed, like all credits.

Holds, forfeits and reversals

Agentry staff can hold your unpaid earnings while they look into how they were earned, and release them afterwards. They can forfeit unpaid earnings that came from abuse, and can reverse a payout of such earnings, which can take the balance below zero. The Publisher Earnings part shows each of these with the reason staff gave.

Some earnings are forfeited without anyone acting:

  • the unpaid earnings of a QuickAgent that is quarantined (reinstating it does not bring them back);
  • those of an organization that is decommissioned;
  • those of an account that is closed.

Your dashboard

Once you have joined, the dashboard's Publisher Earnings card shows what this half-month has earned, your last payout, and the QuickAgents that earned most, each with its runs, its sessions and the credits it earned. With a public QuickAgent and no membership yet, the card offers the way to join.
